Ian George Burns (1955-2010) was an Irish businessman and rugby union player. He was born in Dublin and educated at The High School, where he contributed to winning the Leinster Schools Senior Cup. Burns played as a fly-half for Leinster and earned an Ireland cap in the 1980 Five Nations Championship. Aside from rugby, he had a notable cricketing career with the YMCA Cricket Club and founded a low-cost airline, REDjet, in the Caribbean.
