Ibrahim al-Urayyid was a prominent Bahraini writer, poet, and politician, born on March 8, 1908. He served as the President of the Constituent Council from December 16, 1972, to December 6, 1973. Considered one of the greatest poets in Bahrain, he played a significant role in the country’s literary movement during the 20th century. Born in Bombay, India, he moved to Bahrain in 1927, where he further developed his Arabic language skills. He passed away on May 1, 2002.
