Ibrahim Kpotun Idris is a Nigerian police officer, born on 15 January 1959. He served as the Inspector General of Police from 21 March 2016 until his retirement in January 2019, appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari. Prior to this role, he was an Assistant Inspector General of Police (Operations) at FHQ Abuja and held several prominent positions, including leading the Police Mobile Force and overseeing the police commands in Kano State and Nasarawa State, achieving the rank of Commissioner of Police.
