He spent several years studying political economy in Switzerland and started his journalism career as a correspondent for Akhbar al-Youm in Geneva. Throughout his career, he held various positions, including Head of External Investigations, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Editor-in-Chief, and Chairman of Akhbar al-Youm. He was also known for his column 'Last Column' and served as Editor-in-Chief of the May newspaper, making him the first journalist to lead both a national (Akhbar al-Youm) and a party newspaper (May).
