Idiat Aderemi Amusu, born on November 27, 1952, in Kano, Nigeria, is a pioneering engineer known as the first female agricultural engineer in Nigeria. She has made significant contributions to the field of engineering and is recognized for her leadership roles, including being the first female council member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). Amusu was also one of the founding members of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) in 1983, promoting women's participation in engineering.
