Idoia Mendia Cueva, born in 1965 in Bilbao, is a Spanish politician affiliated with the Basque Socialist Party. Since 2014, she has served as the Secretary General of the party. In 2020, she became the Second Vice President and Minister of Labour in the Basque Government under Inigo Urkullu. Previously, from 2009 to 2012, she held the position of Minister of Internal Affairs, Justice, and Public Administration and was spokesperson for the Basque Government led by Patxi López.
