Iftikhar Ahmad is a Pakistani barrister and political activist, born on 5 December 1949. He served as a Major in the Pakistan Army and protested against General Zia's Martial Law, leading to his resignation. In exile in London, he became active with the Pakistan Peoples Party and was a close aide to Benazir Bhutto. After returning to Pakistan, he faced a court martial but was acquitted. He has held significant political positions, including being an advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and a member of the Senate, and he has represented Pakistan in international legal cases.
