Igor Dekleva is a Slovenian pianist, composer, and educator born on December 30, 1933, in Ljubljana. He has been a long-time lecturer of chamber piano playing at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. As a performing artist, he appears both as a solo pianist and in a duo with his wife, pianist Alenka Dekleva. He is known for composing many piano pieces for children. In 2005, a biography of him authored by musicologist Franc Križnar was published, and in 2016, he was appointed an honorary professor at the University of Ljubljana.
