Igor Vladimirovich Skripnik (November 13, 1940 – February 2, 2005) was a prominent Ukrainian and Soviet mathematician. He served as the academic secretary of the mathematics department of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Skripnik was a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR (1979) and became a full member of the NAS of Ukraine in 1985. He earned his doctorate in physical and mathematical sciences in 1972 and was recognized as an honorary doctor of Lviv University in 2003. He was also a distinguished figure in science and technology in Ukraine, awarded in 1998.
