İhsan Turnagöl is a Turkish classical guitarist born on January 24, 1957, in Ankara. He studied under renowned instructors Mario Sicca and Konrad Ragossnig. Following his studies, he embarked on a concert career across Europe and East Asia, releasing his first album in 1981 featuring works by Bach, Scarlatti, and Albéniz. His preference for contemporary music has encouraged composers to create works for the guitar. Turnagöl has also collaborated with Hermann Reutter, producing original and transcribed works, and has taught at various music colleges before establishing a guitar school in Istanbul.
