Ihsanul Karim was a Bangladeshi journalist born on January 5, 1951, who served as the press secretary to the Prime Minister. He held previous positions including Chief Editor and Managing Director of the Bangladesh National News Agency (BSS) and press secretary to the President of Bangladesh. An economics graduate of the University of Dhaka, Karim participated in the 1971 Liberation War. He started his career at BSS and worked with various international news agencies. He retired in 2013 and was appointed as the President's press secretary in 2013, before becoming the Prime Minister's press secretary in 2015.
