Iku Takenaka (1904–1982) was a notable Japanese poet from Hyogo Prefecture. A graduate of Kwansei Gakuin University, he is best known for his cinepoem 'Rugby.' Takenaka had significant interactions with literary figures, meeting Ryunosuke Akutagawa shortly before his suicide and Tatsuo Hori, who influenced Hayao Miyazaki's work. He also encountered the artist Man Ray in Paris during an interview for a magazine, further connecting poetry and visual art. His Dharma name was Shunkōin Shisen Ikudō Koji.
