Ilmo Olavi Nurmela (1903-1974) was a Finnish businessman who served as the CEO of Kesko Oy from 1957 to 1968. During his leadership, Kesko evolved into a central trading organization that strongly supported its cooperative customers and developed the K-retailer group as a unified marketing organization for its cooperative customers. He was also a member of the Kuuskoski government and served as the Minister of Finance in 1958. Nurmela had an academic brother, Tauno Nurmela, and a son, opera singer Kari Nurmela.
