Imogen Holst was a British composer, conductor, and music educator, the only daughter of composer Gustav Holst. She gained prominence for her educational work at Dartington Hall in the 1940s and served as co-artistic director of the Aldeburgh Festival for 20 years. Despite early ambitions to be a pianist or dancer thwarted by health issues, she made significant contributions to music education and folk song arrangements.
