Inês Etienne Romeu (December 18, 1942 – April 27, 2015) was a Brazilian resistance fighter during the military dictatorship in Brazil (1964–1985). A prominent member of various communist resistance groups, she organized kidnappings and bank robberies as part of urban guerrilla activities. After her arrest in 1971, she was subjected to violence and torture, spending three months in a secret prison known as 'Casa da Morte' in Petrópolis, from which she was the sole survivor. Released in 1979 as the last political prisoner of the dictatorship, she documented the violence she endured.
