Inés García de Durán (1928–2011) was a notable Colombian folklorist associated with the traditions of the Huila Department. She founded the Departmental Dance School and taught at the Departmental Music Conservatory. Notably, she created the choreography for El Sanjuanero, one of Colombia's best-known dances and tunes. Her contributions to dance and culture are commemorated by the Neiva's International Dance Encounter named after her.
