Ingibjörg Stein Bjarnason was an Icelandic-German painter and cosmetician born on February 9, 1901, in Zurich. She was the daughter of an Icelandic schoolmaster and a German Scandinavianist. Ingibjörg lived in Germany, spending summers in Iceland. After marrying Swiss engineer Theodor Stein, she began her art studies in Paris, joining the artist group Cercle et Carré, and exhibited her works in 1930. Following personal and professional challenges, she moved between countries, eventually settling in Buenos Aires, where she passed away in 1977.
