Ingmar Anton Relling was a Norwegian architect and designer, best known for creating the 'Siesta' chair in 1965, in collaboration with his son Knut Relling. The chair has sold over 1,000,000 units in approximately 50 countries and is considered an important example of Scandinavian design. It was interpreted by the Danish press as a response to Hans Wegner and, according to J. P. Ekornes and I. Langlo, opened up Norway to the international furniture market. In 1995, a limited edition of 150 numbered pieces was released.
