Ingrid Charlotte Dreschler (née Metzner) is a former Brazilian tennis player born on May 27, 1937, in Rio de Janeiro. Of German descent, she moved to São Paulo at nine and trained at Esporte Clube Pinheiros. Metzner represented Brazil at the 1955 Pan American Games, winning bronze in singles and doubles with partner Maria Bueno. She made her mark in 1956 by competing in the French Championships and Wimbledon, becoming the first Brazilian woman to participate in these major events, achieving notable performances including taking a set off a seeded player at the French Championships.
