She has lived in Stavanger since 1972 and has held various leadership roles in cultural organizations, including her time as managing director of Studentersamfunnet Folken and the Den store Norske Humorfestivalen. Milde created the Musikkens Dag foundation and led the national gender equality conference Kvinner Viser Vei. Additionally, she served as the press and information officer at Rogaland Teater, worked as an editor and journalist at Oktan Stavanger, and has been a freelance journalist since 2016.
