Ingvar Ehrling was a Swedish military officer and civil servant born on December 24, 1927, in Askers parish, Örebro County. He completed his student and officer examinations in the late 1940s. He served various roles, including with the UN peacekeeping forces in Cyprus and as a consultant to the Commander-in-Chief. Ehrling held significant positions within the Swedish Defense Ministry and was general director of the Defense Rationalization Institute. He authored a book on defense methods and passed away on January 6, 2018, in Stockholm.
