Rauni Inkeri Barenthin, born on November 9, 1942, in Kotka, is a Finnish-Swedish dentist. She is the daughter of civil engineer Seppo Korte and pharmacist Anita Strömberg. Barenthin received her dental license in 1967, a philosophy degree in 1972, and a doctorate in dentistry in 1977. She served as a teacher at Uppsala University and Karolinska Institute and worked as a hospital dentist at Löwenströmska hospital and Serafimerlasarett. She has been a consultant at the Swedish Red Cross for tortured refugees and led dental health projects for Stockholm County Council.
