Innocent is a bishop of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. He served as a vicar bishop from December 11, 2012, until February 12, 2015, under Metropolitan Galaktion of Stara Zagora with the title of Krupnishki. He is noted for being one of the creators of the schism in the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, contesting the legitimacy of Patriarch Maxim. From 1993 to 2012, he acted as an alternative Metropolitan of Sofia, although he was active only until 2004. He was also an alternative chairman of the Holy Synod from 1999 to 2005.
