Iosif Ter-Azareev was an Armenian engineer and academic born on April 20, 1921, in Ganja, Azerbaijan SSR. He specialized in mechanics and made significant contributions to the field. Ter-Azareev earned the title of Doctor of Technical Sciences in 1967 and became a professor in 1970. He was recognized as a distinguished engineer of the Armenian SSR in 1966 and received the title of Honored Scientist of the Republic of Armenia in 2004. He is also noted for being the son of Grigori Ter-Azareyan.
