Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan is a retired Bangladeshi General who served as the Chief of Army Staff from June 25, 2012, to June 25, 2015. He succeeded General Abdul Mubini, becoming the 16th Army Chief of Bangladesh. Bhuiyan is regarded as one of the most successful army chiefs in the post-independence period of Bangladesh, and his leadership is noted for significant military accomplishments during his tenure.
