She was the daughter of composer Samo Vremšak and opera soloist Tatjana Kralj. She studied piano and solo singing at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana and furthered her education in Graz and Salzburg. Baar earned numerous accolades in various competitions and was a significant figure in Slovene classical music until her death.
