Irena Dżurkowa-Kossowska is a Polish art historian, born on February 22, 1955, in Sofia. She is a habilitated doctor specializing in modern and contemporary European and North American art, as well as 19th-20th century art theory and criticism. From 1980 to 1986, she served as a curator at the National Museum in Warsaw. She was a researcher at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences from 1986 to 2013 and has been an academic lecturer. Since 2007, she has been an associate professor at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
