Irene Droogleever Fortuyn is a Dutch designer, sculptor, installation artist, researcher, and educator born on March 20, 1959, in Geldrop. She is known for her installation art and sculptures in urban public spaces. Alongside her husband, Robert O'Brien, she formed the artist duo Fortuyn/O'Brien until his passing in 1988. Fortuyn has been teaching at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague since 1990 and became head of a department at the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2000, taking on the role of studio leader within the Studio Urgencies department in 2020.
