Irmgard Poppen (January 13, 1924 – December 15, 1963) was a German musician and cellist. She was married to renowned baritone Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau from 1949 onwards, and they had three sons: Mathias, Martin, and Manuel. Irmgard was known for her musical contributions but tragically passed away shortly after the birth of her youngest son in 1963 due to eclampsia.
