Isao Ōkido is a Japanese kendo practitioner, holding the rank of 8th dan Hanshi. Born on October 23, 1955, he previously served as a police officer in Ehime Prefecture. Ōkido won the individual title at the 7th World Kendo Championships in 1988. He is currently the head of Shofukan, the vice president of the Ehime Kendo Federation, and a lecturer at Nitta Seiun Junior High School. His son, Tomo, is also involved in kendo and has represented Japan in international competitions.
