Ismail Ahmad Suleiman Amud (February 6, 1930 - February 3, 2015) was a Syrian poet born in Hama. He studied in Hama and then in Damascus, graduating with a specialist diploma in 1948. He worked as an administrative employee in the armed forces. Since 1948, he contributed to various Syrian and Lebanese newspapers and magazines, publishing his literature widely. Amud authored several poetry collections, making significant contributions to the literary scene.
