István Győrkös is a Hungarian far-right political figure and convicted murderer, born on November 20, 1940. He founded and led the Hungarian National Front (MNA), a neo-Nazi paramilitary group, from 1989 to 2016, and was influential in Hungarian extremist politics during the 1990s. He declared himself the sole leader of the Hungarist movement in 1995. Győrkös shot a police officer during a police search in 2016 and was later convicted of murder, receiving a life sentence in 2019.
