Iulian Bădescu, born on May 21, 1974, in Cărbunești, Prahova, Romania, is a former Romanian politician. He was elected as a senator for Prahova in 2008 representing the Democratic Liberal Party and later became a member of the Social Democratic Party. Bădescu served as deputy leader of the PSD Senate group and was the USL candidate for mayor of Ploiești in 2012, winning the election. He resigned in March 2015 amid allegations of financial misconduct related to a non-governmental organization. Bădescu was ultimately sentenced in 2017 for abuse of office.
