Iván Velázquez Caballero, born February 10, 1970, is a Mexican drug lord known as El Talibán, associated with the Los Zetas cartel. Listed among Mexico's most-wanted in 2009, he was sought after for his criminal activities. He began his criminal career with car theft in Nuevo Laredo and later became a regional boss of the cartel. Velázquez Caballero commanded over 400 men in Zacatecas and became a key financial operator for Los Zetas. His arrest by the Mexican Navy occurred on September 26, 2012, amidst conflict within the cartel.
