Miroļubovs has served in various capacities within the Russian Orthodox Church, including being a member of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate. He has been the secretary of the Synodal Commission for Old Believer parishes since 2005 and was notable for his role as a mentor in the Grebenshchikov Old Believer community in Riga.
