Ivar Kvåle (April 8, 1947 – October 23, 2011) was a Norwegian newspaper cartoonist, book illustrator, musician, and comic artist. He worked for the newspaper Hordaland from 1977, producing humorous drawings and comments over 34 years, signing as 'Kvaolsknipo' and later 'Knipo'. Kvåle created the comic strip 'Pegasus,' published in Nationen from 1968 to 1969, and illustrated about 40 books, mostly published by Det norske Samlaget. He was known for caricaturing local tourists, politicians, and Bergen residents.
