Ivo A. Božič is a Slovenian biologist and ornithologist born on June 6, 1945, in Cerovec pri Črešnjevcu. He graduated in 1970 from the Department of Biology at the Biotechnical Faculty in Ljubljana. Božič has worked at the Natural History Museum of Slovenia since 1971 and has served as a museum consultant since 1996. Noted for his research on birds, particularly in Ljubljana Marsh, he has published over 20 scientific articles on bird nesting and is the author of two books.
