John Ivor Rees (1926-2012) was a Welsh Anglican bishop, formerly serving as the Bishop of St David's. He was educated at Llanelli Grammar School and the University of Aberystwyth. After WWII service in the Royal Navy, he was ordained in 1953. Rees held several curacies and incumbencies before becoming Dean of Bangor in 1976. He was appointed Archdeacon of St David's in 1988 and became diocesan bishop in 1991, resigning in 1995 upon reaching retirement age. He served as a Sub-Prelate of the Order of St John of Jerusalem from 1993 to 2002.
