İzel Rozental, born on March 2, 1951, in Istanbul, is a Jewish-Turkish cartoonist and humorist, known for his prominent political cartoons. He is one of the most significant cartoonists in Turkey and has gained international recognition. Rozental serves as the vice president of the World Cartoonists Association. Since 1999, he has been creating the main cartoon for the Jewish weekly Shalom, and he is also a notable writer for Turkish newspapers Cumhuriyet and Radikal, as well as a main contributor to the humor magazine Güldiken.
