In the 1960s, he worked on Disney comics, especially Zé Carioca, and served as art director for Editora Abril in the 1970s and 1980s. He received the Prêmio Angelo Agostini in 1992, recognizing his significant contributions to Brazilian comics over a career spanning several decades.
