James David "J.D." Greear, born on May 1, 1973, is an American Baptist pastor known for his leadership at The Summit Church in Durham, North Carolina. An accomplished author, he has published several books including '12 Truths & a Lie' and 'Essential Christianity' in 2023. Greear is also the host of 'Summit Life', a daily radio show, and a weekly TV program. He was the 62nd president of the Southern Baptist Convention from 2018 to 2021 and is actively involved with the Board of Directors of Chick-fil-A.
