J.V. Martin, born Martin Viktor Jeppesen (September 28, 1930 – July 14, 1993), was a Danish visual artist known for his pioneering works in painting and his involvement in avant-garde movements. He was active in Denmark's Communist Youth in his youth and debuted as a painter in 1957. In 1959, he co-founded the Danish chapter of ASPECT, promoting innovation in various artistic fields. Joining the Situationist International in 1962, he became its spokesperson in Scandinavia after a significant split and organized the 1963 exhibition 'Destruction' showcasing a series of paintings about a post-World War III world.
