John Willis 'Red' Brodnax Jr. was an American football player who played as a fullback for the LSU Tigers in college. He was a member of the 1958 national championship team and played professionally for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos. Brodnax was recognized with the Jacobs Blocking Trophy for excellence in blocking and the Nils V. 'Swede' Nelson Award for his selfless contributions to his team's success. His only professional touchdown came from a reception in a game against the Buffalo Bills in 1960.
