He worked mainly in the fields of tourism and communications, serving as the Deputy Managing Director of MTV from 1972 to 1999. He was instrumental in developing MTV's news division, local radio in Finland, and the TV channel restructuring of 1993. After the merger of Aamulehti and MTV in 1998, he became the administrative director of Alma Media until 2000. He held significant roles in various organizations, including Karjalan Liitto and Suomen Latu.
