Jabir Ahmad, born on March 22, 1949, in Ahwaz, is an Arab writer, thinker, and director of the Ahwaz Studies Center. He has authored several cultural and intellectual works, notably "The Book of the Arabs of Ahwaz." He studied sociology at the University of Damascus and became politically active during his secondary school years. After graduating, he joined the Ahwazi National Movement and was a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Ahwaz until the fall of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's regime. Following the Islamic Revolution, he returned to Ahwaz to present Arab demands in Tehran.
