Jabulani Dubazana was a member of the renowned South African choral group, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, which was founded in 1960 by his close friend Joseph Shabalala. He was born in Ladysmith, South Africa, and joined the group in 1976. Initially singing bass, he later transitioned to tenor voice. Dubazana's involvement coincided with the group's shift towards Zulu hymns and religious music post-Joseph's conversion to Christianity. He retired from the group in August 2005.
