He is known for participating in the 1935 Ryder Cup and became notable after winning the 1934 News of the World Match Play tournament at the age of 23, defeating Charles Whitcombe in the final. He was a professional golfer at clubs in Huddersfield and Pannal, Harrogate, and had a well-known brother, Harry Busson, who was also a professional golfer and club maker. He passed away on February 1, 1989.
