Jack G. Hills is an American astronomer and theorist in stellar dynamics known for his work on the Oort cloud, particularly the inner portion which is named the Hills cloud. He spent much of his career at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, where he became a fellow in 1998. Hills is also recognized for proposing the Hills mechanism in astrophysics during the 1980s, which is a significant contribution to the field.
