John Francis Itzel Jr. was an American football fullback, born on November 12, 1924, and played one season with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL. He played college football at Georgetown University for the Hoyas and the University of Pittsburgh for the Panthers. Itzel was drafted by the Steelers in the seventeenth round of the 1945 NFL Draft. His professional career was relatively brief, ending with his passing on December 21, 1966.
