John Alexander Whitford was a British gymnast born on 3 January 1924 in Swansea. He competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics and was affiliated with Swansea Boys Club. Additionally, he was the half-brother of Arthur Whitford, another gymnast who represented Great Britain at the 1928 Summer Olympics. Whitford passed away on 5 June 2023, reaching the age of 99.
